PADI PROFESSIONAL (SCUBA DIVING): Scott Martin earned his PADI Master Diver (# 17050J2245) and PADI Professional Dive Master (# 400472) in Scuba Diving from the Scuba Company http://www.letsgodivingabq.com in Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA. Scott is currently working as a Divemaster with The Scuba Company in Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA.
Scott started Scuba Diving when he first got certified in 1989, in Haymarket Quarry, Virginia, USA. A few years later he earned his Advanced Open Water Diver in Saint Croix, USVI. He went through his first Rescue Diver Course in the Black Sea, off the coast of Bulgaria. His second Rescue Diver course was received from Don Fosters in Grand Cayman, BVI. Scott has also gone diving in San Salvador, Bahamas. Currently, Scott holds Scuba Specialties in:
Scott also has his Instructor level for EFR and Emergency O2 Provider.
Scott’s favorite places to dive are in the clear waters of the Caribbean. Scott loves wreck diving and cavern diving.
Scott is also a Safety Diver for Film and Television.
This love of Diving and his love of Photography and Film making was a natural progression into becoming an Underwater Cinematographer.
IATSE Local 480 Set Medic: Scott has been a member of IATSE Local 480 Film Union since 2015. He works on Film and Television sets as a Union Set Medic.
Scott has worked on such shows as: Hunter’s Game (pilot), Midnight Texas, Preacher, The Night Shift, Better Call Saul, From Dusk ‘til Dawn, Graves, Shot Caller, Independence Day Resurgence (IDR), Soldado, Horse Soldiers, and The Ballad of Buster Scruggs
Scott has worked on various independent films in addition to the higher budget productions listed above.
He worked as a set medic, sound recordist and camera operator on “2 Fat Guys Looking for a UFO”. A low budget independent documentary.
In 2002, he also worked on an independent feature submitted to Sundance Film Festival entitled “Last Week” as a Director of Photography, Camera Operator, and 2nd Unit Director.
